I’m a technical writer and editor with an education in business and marketing (BComm and MSc) from the University of Saskatchewan. I’ve worked at SaskTel for 3 decades in communication, marketing, and channel management roles. Through this work, I have also gained a strong understanding of internet and wireless phone services and technology.
My longest and most recent role involves maintaining a large volume of customer-facing support content, creating and following standards, testing web and mobile applications, and presenting complex information in the clearest and most user-friendly way possible.
I’ve been working and writing on the internet in both my professional and personal life for over 25 years. During this time, I’ve completed dozens of courses on plain language, visual communication, content marketing, privacy and security, and much more. I also teach workshops on plain language and communication standards.
In recent years, I’ve volunteered as a board member and registrar for the Regina Ringette Association and gained additional experience in sport league management, registration forms, tracking, data analysis, and website maintenance. I’ve also been a member of the host committees for Western Canadian and Canadian championship events, responsible for logistics in multiple areas.
